These terms govern the contractual relationship between you, a New Zealand resident aged 18 or above, and Neptune Projects S.R.L., the operator behind VegaStars. By registering, depositing or wagering, you accept the conditions below. Moreover, this agreement applies regardless of whether you log in from Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown or anywhere else on these shores. Read every section carefully before topping up. If you disagree with any clause, please refrain from playing and contact support for clarification.
Operator identity and brand naming
VegaStars is the trading name. Within the legal text, the casino also calls itself "vegastars.com," and that label applies to every mirror, this New Zealand portal included. The operator is Neptune Projects S.R.L., company number 3-102-900308, registered in Costa Rica with offices at Condominium Nest Freses, Unit 1602, Curridabat, San Jose. Sultucia Limited (Cyprus, HE464112) additionally serves as payment agent and merchant of record for card transactions. The Anjouan gaming licence - number ALSI-202411027-FI1 - is held by the licensee body recognised by the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros.
Right to change these terms
The operator can change this agreement on its own to reflect new regulation, payment rails or product features. The team will try to email active players when a change is material. Even so, you also carry the responsibility to check this page occasionally. If you keep logging in after an update, you accept the revised wording.
Eligibility for Kiwi players
To open an account you must be 18 or older, have legal capacity under NZ law, and live in a country that is absent from the operator's restricted list. New Zealand is not on that list, so Kiwi residents can register under the offshore framing. The platform also allows only one account per person, household, IP, email, phone number and payment method. That single-account rule covers the whole group of brands run under the same licensee.
You make several declarations when you register. You confirm you are at least 18, that you play with your own money for your own enjoyment, that you have not self-excluded with the operator during the past 12 months, and that your details are truthful and complete. False information can void winnings, close the account and lead to reports to authorities where that applies.
Account verification and KYC tiers
Verification is risk-based and works across three tiers. Here is a snapshot.
| Tier | Triggers | Typical Documents |
|---|---|---|
| Simplified Due Diligence (SDD) | Low risk, low volume | ID confirmation only |
| Customer Due Diligence (CDD) | Standard play, mid-volume cash flow | ID, address proof, payment ownership |
| Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) | High volume, PEP, sanctions or AML flag | Source-of-funds, source-of-wealth, video verification |
Documents need to be in Latin or Cyrillic script. If they are not, the operator can ask for an authenticated translation or a video verification call. The operator may also ring the registered number to confirm identity, and it can hold withdrawals until KYC is complete. If the team cannot reach you within two weeks of a withdrawal request, the operator locks the account for failed KYC.
Deposit Conditions
The minimum deposit is EUR 20, roughly NZ$36 at common rates. The actual NZ$ figure can move with the FX feed. The per-transaction maximum depends on the method you pick and is shown at the cashier. The internal ledger runs in EUR, so the deduction on your card statement may differ slightly from the NZ$ figure on screen.
- Third-party rule: Deposits must originate from a payment instrument registered in your own name. Third-party funding voids winnings.
- AML threshold: Deposits above EUR 50,000 per day trigger source-of-funds and source-of-wealth checks before the cashier accepts them.
- Suspicious activity: The operator may block funds it considers suspicious and report them to regulators or law enforcement.
- Bonus eligibility: Bonuses above EUR 250 credit only after KYC clears.
Withdrawal conditions for NZ players
Withdrawals go back to the same method you used to deposit. Your deposit also has to be wagered at least once before any payout request clears, even when no bonus is involved. The monthly cap is NZ$50,000 (with VIP exceptions), and bigger wins are paid in monthly instalments until cleared. Progressive jackpot wins are paid in full and fall outside the cap.
For Kiwi residents, Visa Original Credit Transfer remains supported. Specifically, New Zealand is not on the OCT-excluded country set, which includes the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. Mastercard payouts stay limited because NZ falls outside the Mastercard payout whitelist. Therefore, the practical fallback for Kiwi players is bank transfer, which processes “in principle” within three banking days, plus any alternative methods the cashier presents.
Daily winnings over NZ$10,000 set off extra fraud and AML checks, so payouts at that level can pause for document review. The operator may also refuse or refund a card-funded withdrawal if the underlying purchase carries unacceptable risk.
Bonus and wagering rules
Only one welcome package is allowed per person, household, IP, email, phone or payment method, and the operator can decline a welcome offer on internal-metric grounds. The default wagering requirement on welcome credit is 40x on bonus plus deposit, and 40x on free-spin winnings. The maximum bet while a welcome bonus is active is NZ$25 per round. Bonus credit expires five days after activation unless the promo text says otherwise.
Contribution toward wagering varies by vertical. Pokies count 100%, live casino counts 10%, and the operator blocks sportsbook or esports play with bonus balance. The operator also publishes a list of titles excluded from wagering, so read each promo's terms before you opt in.
Anti-fraud and restricted conduct
Under the player agreement, five categories of behaviour lead to forfeiture, account closure or both.
- VPN prohibition: Masking your location through a VPN or proxy voids winnings and bonuses.
- Multi-account prohibition: The operator closes duplicate, household or colluding accounts and claws back related winnings.
- Advantage play: Low-risk roulette patterns covering 25 or more of 37 numbers, paired chip dumping or bonus farming may void payouts.
- Chargebacks: Card disputes allow the operator to deduct the disputed sum, close the account and report behaviour to processors.
- Mistaken credits: Funds credited by error remain operator property; players must return any withdrawn amount.
Dormant Accounts
An account turns dormant after 12 consecutive months without a login. From then on, the operator can charge a EUR 10 monthly admin fee - or the remaining balance, if that is lower - until the balance hits zero or the player logs back in. So even a small leftover balance is worth checking after a long break. Dormancy fees show up in the cashier history once you reactivate.
Complaints and dispute resolution
Start with the internal channel: email customer support with the relevant transaction IDs, screenshots and a clear description. Disputes about a settled bet must be raised within three days of settlement; the operator honours nothing after that window. Any broader claim about these terms or the service must be filed within one year of the cause of action, or it expires.
If internal review does not settle things, you can escalate free of charge to the alternative dispute resolution body EGIS-FZCO. The ADR pathway works independently of the operator and reviews unresolved complaints on the documented record.
Non-Transferability
Players cannot assign, pledge or transfer accounts, balances, claims or bets to anyone else. The ban covers ownership of accounts, winnings, deposits and any rights attached to those assets. Only the holder of the registered account may deposit, wager or withdraw on it.
Currencies and FX
NZ$ is one of four player-facing currencies, along with CAD, USD and AUD. The internal operating currency, though, remains EUR. Card statements can therefore show a slightly different figure from the NZ$ amount in the cashier, since your bank and the processor each apply their own FX rate. The operator is not responsible for variations that issuers introduce.
Governing law and jurisdiction
The agreement is governed by the laws of Costa Rica, where the operator is seated. Card-related disputes may fall under Cypriot law, since the payment agent works from Limassol. The offshore Anjouan licence sets the compliance backdrop for the gaming product. Kiwi players retain their consumer-law remedies under New Zealand statutes where those apply mandatorily.
Liability and risk acknowledgement
Gambling carries risk, and you accept that losing money is part of playing. The operator is not liable for hardware faults, unstable connections or third-party software problems that limit access. Where a wager settles or a payment processes in error, the operator can cancel it or re-settle it on the correct terms, so report any mis-credit, pricing glitch or paytable anomaly straight away. By accepting these terms you also confirm that you know the rules of each game you choose and that you have checked the published return-to-player percentage on the titles you bet on.
Refunds and card settlement logic
Refund requests are valid when raised within 24 hours of the alleged transaction, or within 30 calendar days if the player says a third party accessed the account. Where the deposit came from a credit card, the operator can settle a withdrawal as a refund against the original card purchase up to the deposited amount, paying any excess through another method. Bonuses and bonus-derived winnings are deducted before the operator works out the refund figure.
